Autumn 2014

The red aspen were exceptionally red this year.

Autumn 2014

Turns out Aspen trees continue to "quake"even after they've dropped their leaves.

Autumn 2014

It always amazes me what grows on the slopes of the granite mountains of Big Cottonwood.

The Scrub Oak after Autumn set in. Note the little guys on the ground.

Dropping down into Midway from Guardsman Pass. Great day for a ride in the Jeep.

A Walk Along Muir Beach

Just a couple of miles from the Muir Woods.

A Walk Through the Muir Woods

Loooow Ri-ders Ride a Little Slower...

While cruz'n around Sacramento, I pulled into the Franklin's Gas Mart (on Franklin Street, which was across the street from Franklin Tires, which was next door to Franklin Body Shop) to fill up, and spotted the owner of this beautiful  "smok'n" '48 Chevy dusting it off with the biggest feather duster I've ever seen. He gave me the history (popped the hood, etc.) of this cherry (or pimped out) chevy. Notice the air conditioner on the back door and the skirts on the rear wheels. I regret not taking a picture of the little "homie" in the back seat. Homi being a stuffed doll about the size of a 5 year old with a white tee shirt, shaved head, bandedo mustache, and wrap around sun glasses, and of course the obligatory Pendelton draped over the back of the front seat. Classic low rider if I ever seen one.

You can see the owners reflection (bald guy) in a couple of places on the car and me on the front bumper.
