Quaking Aspen

This was taken up Big Cottonwood Canyon. The blurred look is achieved by moving the camera up and down during a long exposure. I added the painterly sky. I framed this and it hangs in Matt's home. I was surprised how well it turned out.

Unable to raise my camera to my eye, since the operation (and probable won't for a few more months), I've resorted to post-processing some pre-operation images (with my left hand - very slow). This one was taken at the Cardon Huntsville Farm. Ya gotta love that place.

The rose bushes in the front yard have exploded in pink and white roses, so I set this up. I did learn a great Photoshop

 technique in so doing.

Took this long after the sun dropped behind the mountains in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Love the sound of water tumbling over rocks in a mountain stream.

While at the race track I did some experimenting with panning and a slow shutter speed. I was going for an impressionistic image that implied motion.

Spent much of the day pressing my shutter. Noah and Tate's soccer game in the morning, horse racing after that, and I discovered a high school rugby game going on across the street from the race track. Came home with a first class sunburn.
