A Small Slice Please
Sure, who doesn't love photographs of sunrises and sunsets, big sweeping vistas of mountain ranges, etc. But the truth is, I enjoy looking for the "intimate landscape" (landscape without a horizon). The small details that make up the big picture. More often that not, you'll see people with cameras walk right past these little jewels on their way looking for that crowd pleasing big landscape. I spotted these out the window of the Jeep as I drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon. They were growing out of the cracks in the granite mountains in the canyon. (As always - click on image to enlarge)

Abstract
127 Second Time Exposure
This turned out just the way I envisioned it. The long exposure captured the cloud movement and blurred the movement of the water giving the whole image a kind of ghostly look. A little leftover fog didn't hurt.
I was glad it picked up the San Francisco skyline and the Bay Bridge (if you squint).
